Yes, Kroil is great stuff; you might also try really soaking the 
problem parts with Corrosion Block (aerosol can) or Corrosion X 
(aerosol or trigger-spray bottle). Both are excellent at penetrating 
rust and corrosion, making stuck parts workable again, and inhibiting 
further corrosion. The grease form of Corrosion Block is better for 
longer-term protection.
