I like the idea of the white reflective tape on both the big boat and the
dink.  White lights of any sort indicate *something* is out there and don't
hit it.  

And yes, it takes very little to light it up.  In our Florida anchorage on
the path from Bandersnatch to the dinghy dock there is a "Slow - Manatee
Zone" sign that is somewhat reflective.  The running lights on the dinghy
actually light it up enough to see it when about 100 feet away.

I *don't* like the idea of the red/green reflective tape on the bow since
that would indicate you were underway when actually you are anchored.
