Actually, the lifting lines just position the dinghy and start the rotation. The final lock-down is created by heaving on the pennants; this is one of the places where being familiar with a Trucker's Hitch (and the Alpine Butterfly) can be useful, if you feel you need a bit more "oomph". > > Hey, you'd be mounting stainless to stainless - and I know that you can > > drill and tap. :) Besides, if we run into each other, I'd be glad to > > raft up with you and throw a bead or two on it. > > There's this problem with the tubes having wires inside of them... Extract and refeed them after you're done cutting and drilling. Conversely, if it's just one or two wires, cut them and resplice with heat-shrink-covered butt splices, then slide a piece of plastic hose over them where they pass the joint. The clevis pin will slide right off it, and rotating a long wire 60 degrees can't possibly do it any harm. > > Yeah, please give me the URL. OK, I see you went with a truss rather than a single tube - scratch the above suggestion, then. I think we've reached the point of diminishing returns. I can't come up with anything without a closer look at it other than "you need to redesign it to fit." :) -- OKOPNIK CONSULTING Custom Computing Solutions For Your Business Expert-led Training | Dynamic, vital websites | Custom programming 443-250-7895 http://okopnik.com _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://liveaboardonline.com/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardonline.com/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
