That was lucky.  Have you ever noticed that storms, most often, like to
arrive in the dark and on a full moon high tide?

We are ok and our boat had no damage.  Thanks.  We were in a hurricane hole
at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (who were just great).  Overall the
dmaage was not extensive, but a few boats got wacked.  Power went out in all
of Halifax.  It hit at low neap tide so that the storm surge took the harbor
back to normal high tide.
 
We are looking for a window to move south back into the US.
