I don't remember the instructions (they went with the unit to my friend) but 
I seem to recall the line tied off at the toerail. At least I think that's 
how I did it. By the time I got to the spreaders I was close enough to the 
mast to have changed steaming light, or deck lights, etc., and it worked 
like a charm when I got to the top to replace my windex and adjust my AWI 
vane.

My legs were a little sore but no more than after the first ski day of the 
season! Don't forget, ALL the work is done by your thighs. If you're not in 
a hurry, you can move the foot loops up not as far so you're "step up" isn't 
so much of an exertion.  Coming down took no more effort than it would 
coming down a ladder...
