I see that the standard Wirie is just an Alfa - with that supposedly 
not-there coax to the antenna...

However, it's the AP version (which, if I read it correctly) is the repeater 
I was thinking of.  I can't see how they accomplish that, but whatever it 
is, they claim no USB cable issue, which is how I presumed there was no data 
going on; just power up the cable...
