Both my parents have made their final journeys. My dad in fall of 2000 and my mom in fall of 2008. Both sudden, though dad had a triple bypass in 1975 and was 'biding time', still smoking, and in end-stage lung disease for a decade or so. The local weather may be wet and stormy for a while and may recur from time to time, but focus on the suny days with your dad and you will see your way through to fair winds and following seas......
