Hi, Ed Kelly, and list.

I think I have a clue about all the mails...

I suspect that the reason we've been in the dark for so long was some
problem with the server. When that problem, however done, was resolved, all
the back mails came at once.

Congrats to Angel Louise for her past and future travels. We are green with
envy.

However, the non-present-time appearance of my mails of April First has
predictably generated some alarm and confusion.

As noted in a subsequent log posting (I copy my logs to this list, but those
on The Flying Pig Log subscription list get them in real time, from my
Yahoogroup mailing list, link shown below), the post generating the concern
in Ed's list was explained, both in a followup later that evening, and, if
you were on the list, an apology for creating panic/concern/OMGs among our
close cruising friends.

That was a carefully crafted April Fool post; it's true in every regard
other than that we're selling and moving ashore; the best ones have enough
truth in them to convince those reading to swallow it, hook, line and
sinker.

So, in hopes that this stands out from the massive dump which appeared in
all of our mailboxes, if you have just had your heart stop, or are engaging
in searches to help us best find a place to cheaply live, I apologize for
the unnecessary upset. The last line in my signature block is accurate; we
can't imagine how we'll manage when the time inevitably comes.

For the rest, please enjoy the joke :{))

Skip, having just managed today to separate the shaft from the transmission,
and also the coupling flange in preparation for shortening and
straight-checking, but still working on getting the key out! Over a year in
this yard, and making progress at leaving. The work we've been doing can be
seen in the 2011 refit in the gallery link below.
