Well if you had actually participated in the testing perhaps we would have had more solid results. ;)
We worked with what we had and we were fairly confident with what we saw. Certainly, a bug like this I would say is no worse than Bugzilla adding '0000...' timestamps.
But these types of things can't be discovered until you actually start using it in a full mock-production setting. We did what we could to approach that - but full testing like that is never likely to happen in a community like this, nor do I think it's necessary. We're not aiming for perfection here (we certainly didn't have that with our previous systems), just something that is usable and manageable and people enjoy working with. From all the other comments I'm getting so far, Trac gives us that.
