Known problem, can't fix until additional details are supplied.

Please do the following:

1) Test if it is a "dma/nodma doesn't work" kernel bug observed earlier on LiteOn LTN485 
CD-ROM, by booting with the "linux ide=nodma" line and waiting 10 minutes while the buggy 
Linux kernel recognizes the buggy drive and finally disables DMA.

2) Verify that it is not a unionfs bug (yes, I treat any kernel containing 
unionfs as tainted). Early /sbin/hotplug processes are a very good stress-test. 
To verify if this is indeed the problem, please wait while Justin supplies an 
URL to his copy of the DM-based CD. Skip this step if Justin doesn't have the 
DM-based CD anymore. I have this CD, but can't afford to upload it due to very 
high traffic costs in Russia.

3) If the steps above didn't help, provide the last line of output from the 
failing boot.
