Fair enough. Certainly, if it is an unionfs error, we need to respond appropriately. I just didn't think building a full CD with an entire different concept behind it fit the circumstances. > I am building this LiveCD to put in my lfs-livecd-archive just to play > with and for testing. It probably is a good idea to have one available in the archives. > If you have another idea on what the problem could be or need me to > build another CD with some changes, please speak up! :) Well, I intend to go over the C code line by line to look for trouble spots. Anyone else with experience with C is most definitely welcome to help. :) And I think it would be good to make a few (not necessarily working) isos that are intended just to boot and pass control to a /sbin/init file (perhaps a shell script, or a simple binary that echos output). Then pass that tiny iso on to the people that have had troubles and ask them to see if they get the expected output from /sbin/init.
