On re-evaluation of the Makefiles, the Berkeley DB package should indeed
be in /lfs-sources. You don't have it? On my ISO of 6.2-pre3 I see it:

mount: block device /dev/hdb is write-protected, mounting read-only
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /mnt]# cd cdrom/lfs-sources
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /mnt/cdrom/lfs-sources]# ls db*
db-4.4.16.tar.gz
