Maybe he just assumes that there should be no output (does the graphical splash screen kill serial output?). That "serial" option in isolinux configuration file is for serial consoles, not braille devices (I assume that the "tt" braille driver is for debugging purposes only). Let's drop it, since we don't support serial consoles.
