Alexander,

Thanks
I tried to download that exact version from SVN. I
could not find it. Am I missing something?
I don't know what exactly you are missing. However, you can check out
the correct files and build the CD by installing Subversion and running
the following commands as root:
# I assume you don't have /mnt/lfs. If you have, remove everything from
there. Otherwise, an equivalent of "rm -rf /" will happen.
mkdir /mnt/lfs
cd /mnt/lfs
svn co svn://svn.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/tags/6.2-3 lfs-livecd
Now you can "cd" to the lfs-livecd directory, edit Xorg patch (that's
preferred) or Makefile, and issue "make" there. The build will fail due
to some packages missing from their official locations. In this case,
take them from http://ums.usu.ru/sources and put into /mnt/lfs/sources,
then restart the build. But please do not take the whole set of packages
from ums.usu.ru, otherwise the server will be disconnected for excessive
bandwidth usage and I will lose my job.
On a Pentium IV 2.4 GHz, the whole build takes 8 hours and needs 3.5 GB
of free space in /mnt/lfs.
