will do. I had shut down the system for transport so I'll give this a go when I boot it shortly. >> the packages included in the full version are not yet updated to match >> the book, specifically, the kernel is 2.6.22.2 and the book is using >> 2.6.22.5 >> > > Outdated report - this was valid for r2032, but not r2052. ah, yes, I forgot I had gotten the sources from r2032. >> There is a problem with full hibernation on my dell inspiron 3000. >> > > The bios-based hibernation has to do nothing with the linux hibernate > scripts. What I'll do is build full suspend to disk hibernation into the notebook and send you the config files & build options & package list needed for it to work, on this hardware at least. Then it can be added to the cd, and put up as a "hint" as well. With Notebooks actually becoming closer in price to desktops, there may be more people wanting to build lfs on a notebook that could use such in the future. [ here, notebooks are actually available at the same prices as desktop systems, ram and hd capacity being the main differences. roughly $600.00 CDN for a 2 GHz dual core acer notebook or "white box" desktop, notebook with windows xp desktop bare metal] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFG3SkeylMakk+oQ1oRAj49AKCJK/NBzUmWauht1TPd4/WnX1HUiwCdEaT3 P20dkbfEI75SwSZTTMtYtvk= =sbg7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/livecd FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
