will do. I had shut down the system for transport so I'll give this a go
when I boot it shortly.

I don't usually use hibernation, not as in shut the notebook cover.
What I'll do is build full suspend to disk hibernation into the notebook
and send you the config files & build options & package list needed for
it to work, on this hardware at least. Then it can be added to the cd,
and put up as a "hint" as well. With Notebooks actually becoming closer
in price to desktops, there may be more people wanting to build lfs on a
notebook that could use such in the future. [ here, notebooks are
actually available at the same prices as desktop systems, ram and hd
capacity being the main differences. roughly $600.00 CDN for a 2 GHz
dual core acer notebook or "white box" desktop, notebook with windows xp
desktop bare metal]
