For software synths, there is little point in showing the language dialog. The reason is that only English voices have sufficient quality to be placed on the CD. As for the GNOME vs XFCE issue - why not simply stop using LFS LiveCD? Knoppix or Ubuntu is good enough and can build LFS, too. -- Alexander E.
