Georgina prefers the default BLFS prompt (of course, colors are invisible):

|NORMAL="\[\e[0m\]"
RED="\[\e[1;31m\]"
GREEN="\[\e[1;32m\]"
if [[ $EUID == 0 ]] ; then
  PS1="$RED\u [ $NORMAL\w$RED ]# $NORMAL"
else
  PS1="$GREEN\u [ $NORMAL\w$GREEN ]\$ $NORMAL"
fi|

So, the choice is now as follows:

1) either keep the current verbose prompt for sighted users and use the
BLFS prompt for speakup users, or
2) use the BLFS prompt unconditionally.

Jeremy, what is your choice?
