I had been using gmail to interact with this list, but decided to change to my
Proton Mail.
The good news is that I've now got this working by means of installing the
Proton Mail app from the Ubuntu app centre, then choosing Proton Mail via
Ubuntu Settings>Default Apps>Mail. Then in Firefox, Settings>Downloads>Files
and applications>mailto, choose "Use System Handler (default).
The problem I am having is that before installing via the app store, I followed
the instructions on the page below. Which means that I now have both a beta
version as well as the version that came from the app store. So how do I get
rid of the .deb file version? (I've made some attempts based on advice from
internet search, but don't seem to have yet succeeded.)

file?
