Hi,

I just checked the screenshots from the Lizards, and it seems that the
resolution selection is totally wrong..

A person would like to select FEW resolutions, and not one. I cannot see
there how can I add to my selections which resolution to add..

Here is my suggestion:

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Lizard By Caldera & Troll Tech * Col 2.4 Alpha version*
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Please tick which resolution you want to add to your X windows

[X] 640 x 480 - 256 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 800 x 600 - 256 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1024 x 768 - 256 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1280 x 1024 - 256 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1600 x 1280 - 256 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 2048 x 1536 - 256 colours {test} ( ) default

[ ] 640 x 480 - 65,536 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 800 x 600 - 65,536 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1024 x 768 - 65,536 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1280 x 1024 - 65,536 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1600 x 1280 - 65,536 colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 2048 x 1536 - 65,536 colours {test} ( ) default

[ ] 640 x 480 - 16.7M colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 800 x 600 - 16.7M colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1024 x 768 - 16.7M colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1280 x 1024 - 16.7M colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 1600 x 1280 - 16.7M colours {test} ( ) default
[ ] 2048 x 1536 - 16.7M colours {test} ( ) default

-------------------------------------------------------------------
X windows default color bpp will be: ( ) 256 colours
                                     ( ) 65,536 colours
                                     ( ) 16.7 Million colours

Some notes:
1. the [ ] brackets are for selection multi resolution/bpp
2. the ( ) are for selecting only ONE (radio button), that X windows
will start with (default starting resolution and bpp
3. the {test} button is for testing each resolution. If the user clicked
"ok" on the message box when the test mode appeared, an "X" will be
added in that same line which he clicked {test}
4. We need at least one resolution ticked for cases like users running
Mesa and it switches to 640x480 in quake, and the user cannot see
anything or understand why... :)
5. Ofcourse, I made this as a basic. There are lots of other screens
resolution need to be added, and this window should be a scrollable.

Before asking me to write a patch - I'm a GUI designer (it's a hobby of
mine), and I donno programming :(

Thanks
Hetz
