Hmm, probably it would be better to just keep the current dialog,
but add a '[Add this Mode]' button, so you can select each, test it
and add it. Then start in the largest of it.

There is still the problem of selecting different bitdepths (there is 
currently no possibility in kdm to switch them, and X cannot switch them
on the fly.)
