Did not try it either - all work has been done on Linux so far (even
cross-compiling the windows packages). However if you set up all the
required external libraries it should be possible to built it somehow
using cmake/mingw/qt creator. I suggest using Linux anyways.

Regarding the features you want to implement: any help is welcome! So
if you can improve the live abilities of LMMS, many users will be
thankful! If you have specific questions concerning the codebase,
don't hesitate to contact me.
