That's a valid concern, but the idea was, that if we could get other
audio software developers interested in the project, it would mean less
work for LMMS developers. Maybe a reference implementation of the
instrument/interpreter could be made, and then it'd be much easier to
import that to LMMS, kind of in the same way ZynAddSubFX is.

I'm not entirely familiar with CSound or the others, but it seems fairly
complex with a high learning curve - it has an entire programming
language for sound generation, and also it kind of seems like it would
be hard to integrate well with LMMS. I'd like there to be something that
even people who don't know programming can use, something where you can
just use a GUI to put in modules and connect them together, and make an
instrument that way without writing a single line of code.

Anyway, it may be that this is just a pipe dream and would take too much
effort to develop. I'm well aware of that, it's just that it's kinda
rare for artistic abilities & programming abilities to overlap, which is
why it'd be great to have one plugin mechanism that allows artistic
people - who know sound synthesis theory but not how to program it - to
create their own unique instruments.
