Well, have you taken a look at the current git head of the stable-0.4
branch? Because that's exactly what we've been doing, refreshing every
element of the UI. Go build the latest version, you'll see.

Also, if you like the idea of a honey LMMS, there's literally nothing
stopping you (or someone else) from making a honey-coloured theme for
LMMS, especially with the new improved theming capabilities that give
more control over the palette.

However as for the current palette, I really don't want to make any
changes to it at this time. I posted the current palette back before we
started all this UI work, and asked if anyone had any feedback -
positive or negative - regarding it. No one said anything negative about
it back then, so now we're committed to this palette, especially since
there's no time (nor willingness, really) to redo all of the UI work, as
the release has been set to 5 days from now.

I also think the golden logo looks good. But with the current UI style
and palette, the logo really doesn't fit the theme, and I'd rather have
it thematically consistent. It's not a big thing really, and if people
are really attached to the golden logo, we can keep that - there's
really no rule dictating that the splash screen has to match the palette
of the UI, and there are frankly more pressing issues wrt. thematic
consistency - redesigning icons, LCD spinboxes, etc.

It's just that since this is shaping up to be an important milestone
release for LMMS, one with an absolutely dramatic difference to the
previous version - I think it'd be smart to emphasize that, to really
embrace the new style and theme. So that's why I'd prefer the splash
screen to be consistent with the UI. But I won't press the issue if
everyone else disagrees - again, it's a minor concern in the end.
