How would you propose to do this? LMMS uses the .rc file for settings, which includes the theme the user has chosen. The only ways I can see to accomplish this would be: - remove the option to choose theme (not good, removing functionality for no good reason) - overwrite the user's settings file on install (cue complaints from users) In any case, this only affects people who have either multiple parallel installations of LMMS, or people using custom themes. In both of these cases, I expect the users will be able to troubleshoot this problem. We can issue a warning with the final release that older themes are not likely to be 100% compatible, although measures have been taken to ensure that using them won't break LMMS entirely. And a porting guide for themes has already been written, which I strongly suggest theme makers to read. In the most common (I think) scenario, where people just overwrite their previous LMMS build with the new version, and use the default theme, there will be no problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WatchGuard Dimension instantly turns raw network data into actionable security intelligence.
