So I'm still stuck on the gong-1424 related bug.
After re-reading the bugs, I'm noticing that the MacPorts team has a
"Portfile" for 0.4.15 that already works *fairly* well.
This means many of the issues I'm encountering have already been addressed,
but I'm not sure I like the approach.... After examining the
"Portfile<http://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports/multimedia/lmms/Portfile>"
closer, it seems the last maintainer decided to blacklist Clang altogether.
Furthermore, ZASF doesn't work at all from my tests:

So I have a question...
Do we take *option #1 *and update our code for Clang or use the blacklist
clang option? From what I'm reading, many people find Clang stable at this
time and don't recommend code is compiled with older compilers due to
incompatibility issues.
Since @Toby has already done some Clang-compatible code fixes, do we
continue down that path?
If not, do we take *option #2* and use the
"Portfile<http://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports/multimedia/lmms/Portfile>"
against
our latest source code?
I would vote for option #1, but without the expertise to convert the code,
it would require some help. :)
Feedback welcome.
