i think lmms-project.org is voted more and it represents most people's choice as i see for lmms.org there's LastMileMobileSolutions site and this is the part of registrant email that uses this abbr, so maybe they will not go to free it or sell domain.
for case of lmms-devel i think that it's clear with elections also you can ask in IRC, but there's a need of a kind of respectivness, so i cannot ask people to get on votes, because they don't know me, that should be someone well-known. just ask who's online and that you need people opinions right now , get stats on active online and then propose too choose A B C D variants, so if there's 10 online then the quorum is 6, so the 2/3 or 3/4 must vote for one name, i don't think that they will also get on .io or .pro or .center, but if they do, then you can count their choice with one that already done. the easiest way to start another poll of lmms-devel is just in creating one more thread. we all seen how that was going about twice, i don't think it will be more representative. But really just take lmms-project for one year and if any other name it will be just half of the price of any other name, so it won't hurt much and there's enough money for that even with donations.
