imo panning can be done already, so its kind of overhead to also have it on mixer, and also any performance costs, should be avoided at all times. In the end, performance/ cpu-load could be a project breaker for someone. Solo.. again possible from song-editor, so a second option is not a must -also, what will happen if different 'solo' is chosen in mixer and song-editor.. a tjek for that.. again an overhead. Brilliant stuf like 'send' in mixer and ghost-notes amo, let the cpu handle those, and reduce overheads to the bone.
