Jonathan, can you snag a phpBB DB backup now and send it to a few people
(assuming it is relatively small). Myself and Lucas should have a copy.
We can always have the old forums hosted somewhere for archive purposes as
read-only.
As part of being a KVR project or sponsor, we will have the ability to
share links and there's nothing preventing the coexistence of two forums, I
just don't think the forums yield enough activity to put a significant
amount of work into resurrecting them in their old form.
We may luck out and get KVR to import the archive for us as well, although
the user mappings could get tricky and this isn't something I've tried
before.
Either way though we need to ensure the hosting conversations are about
"we" and "our", NOT "I", "me" and "my".
We need to establish something maintainable, and no offense intended to the
proposals, but I simply don't trust a service that only one person had
access to. We could be back in the same situation a year from now. We
need to designate a web team and make sure all parties have access to
administer the account.
