That is EXACTLY what we are talking about.
Vesa is removing old compat code (for good reason). We'll have
an equivalent of it back in.
We'll see where the 2.0 branch ends up though. If the designers decide mmp
is deprecated, it would likely be brought back in with code that is less
invasive to design, and rather through an import utility much like
Hydrogen, MIDI or FLP files do today.
