Well, there's still some issues with undo with that feature. When you copy multiple patterns, then undo the action, only one track gets actually undone... also it's unfinished: group delete still doesn't work... I don't feel it's ready yet for a stable build yet. And no, we're not going to wait a year and a half for the next release. Even if we work on 2.0 now, that doesn't mean that the master branch has to be left unworked.
