Different VSTs store their information in different places, but IIRC, the
"pest binary-string vst-block of obsurd size" is part of the protocol.
If you believe there to be a scenario where we are storing redundant
information, or storing data inefficient you are encouraged to study the
available methods and explain what we're doing wrong.
If this is just you looking at an LMMS dialog and going "Hmm..." then
perhaps you should ask in your own 4 VST bug reports that already mention
this. This one might be a good place for the discussion:
