Right-click on the piano keys in the roll editor and you'll see a few  
options: Mark/unmark semitone, Mark scale (if a scale is selected),  
Mark chord (again, if selected), Unmark all.

This is purely a visual aid to help putting the notes in place and  
does nothing to the sound or allowable notes. Some way of notes  
(optionally) aligning into the selected spots could of course be useful.

I'll have to say "no" to both. And I don't think there really is any  
microtonality anywhere in LMMS, except for ZynAddSubFX. It would be  
pretty cool to have the option to retune all the instruments to any  
system you like, but there are probably loads of more important  
improvements to be made.
