Hey guys,

I thought the whole idea of an entire website being on a SourceForge platform was kinda weird. Most projects I've seen only host project files and binary downloads on their SourceForge sites.

Personally, I have been using WordPress (on my own server) for a while and I really like some of the features. The BBPress plugin would give you the forum functionality and the rest of the site would contain project information. The downloads could still be hosted on SourceForge, as I think developers like that platform. Wordpress is fairly easy for people to pick up so people without much coding experience wouldn't have too much trouble getting used to it, thereby making it easier to have more people in leadership roles.

The one thing I'd want to modify would be allowed upload file types. We'd definitely want ".mmp" and ".mmpz" files on the allowed list. Otherwise, people would have to zip them up every time, which would be a pain.

If it was earlier in the season, I'd be willing to help out with this. I've created a bunch of WordPress sites for other people, so I feel comfortable with it. However, collage starts up in a couple weeks, so I can't commit to anything.

Anyways, some ideas to think about! :-)
