I will go ahead and install wordpress. BBpress i havent used. you mention
theme issues. I have a program called artisteer which is an awesome app
which makes creating custom themes super easy.
If anyone has any graphics to contribute to the new site please let me know
and I can work on a very special and customized theme for the site.
