Hi Andrew,

I now have systematically checked all available lv2 synths on my system
in MusE 3.0 pre-release with regard to the question if they produce any
sound or not, and I checked the Calf Monosynth if it again produces
disturbing sounds, and then no sound at all.

My latest git version of the MusE 3.0 pre-release has been built by
downloading the source code from github in an empty directory, and when
I then ran "make install", I ensured that the target directory of that
command does not contain any MusE files from an older installation. So my
installation of the latest git version of the MusE 3.o pre-release is a
clean build.

These are my test results:

a) Synth does not produce any sound:

These are the affected LV2 synths:

Calf Filterclavier
Calf Fluidsynth
Calf Rotaryspeaker
Example Midi Gate
Example Scope Mono
Example Scope Stereo
Fabla
Gx Amplifier Stereo
Gx Amplifier X

b) Muse crashes, when this synth is played:

Example Metronome

c) Synth creates disturbing (unwanted) sounds, and then no sound at all:

I reported this behaviour in an email from yesterday about Calf
Monosynth. I could not reproduce this behaviour today

How did I test? I loaded the attached med file in the latest git version
of the MusE 3.0 pre-release , ensured that the loop button is activated,
clicked the play button, and while the loop region was played, I one
after another changed the available synths by left clicking the Midi
part in the left pane, and then selecting the respective next synth in
that list.

Which audio Linux distribution is installed on my machine? Ubuntu Studio
14.04.3 LTS

Regards,

Jens

PS: I have enclosed the developer list in this mail.
