Hi,

this is not so much a Muse problem but one I thought about a bit.

After an absence I built the v3.0.3 version of zynaddsubfx from git. It builds the binary, native VST and LV2 versions.

My question really is - does LV2 or VST or the binary perform better from a resource aspect in Muse or in any DAW?

The only downside I can determine is that a binary version of a soft synth (say zynaddsubfx) can not be saved with the Muse project since it is brought in via the external audio.

So given the choice the of the 3 formats (LV2, VST or binary), which would be the optimal one to use?

And Happy New Year to all.

Regards,

Chris.
