hmm...  i am not sure i understood your question correctly...so...

1] It depends on your settings and posts by non-members would be
caught for moderation, the list admin approves/rejects depending on
the case.

2] Additionally you can simply set it to reject post by non-members.
But yet there are the occassional spam messages that creep through a
few times each week IME.

Is the list-owner getting  spam? This is something, which i am told,
has no solution.
