Keep in mind, that most people who are "selling" Ubuntu to their friends, co workers and colleagues are doing so by comparing Ubuntu Linux to Windows in most cases.
Our very own Bug #1 addresses this https://launchpad.net/bugs/1 So I think that we need to be role models, but also keep in mind that a lot of people came to the community to get away from proprietary software, and most likely the Windows platform. So just try to be understanding before kicking people out. They are enthused about being part of the community, like it's been said, we just need to gracefully work on channeling that to positive.
