Hi,

I use an older state of the current version 0.9.8 and found following patches
for my memory leaks:
http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOGCXX-117
http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOGCXX-140

I also call log4cxx::LogManager::shutdown() before termination.

Note that the PropertyConfigurator's watch-thread cannot be stopped.

Greets,
Chris
