Sounds good.    I assume you will be using the existing NDC filter code and
replacing the popup box with an input panel on the main console.  Just be
aware that we were persisting the 'most recently used' NDC filter to a XML
file so that users didn't have to reset the NDC filter when they started up
the console again.

I know of the edit menu functionallity - but it is just to cumbersome to
use - hence im adding a panel where one can enter the criteria directly.

And yes, i'm also going to use the existing filtering model to as much
extent as possible. I'll put my the finishing touch on the patch as soon as
possible and post the patch to the list.
