We have started to trial with JDK1.5 in Gump. It won't be soon for it to become the official build platform, nor nagging you about it.
However, I think it is time to slowly reporting problems found, to the respective camps, for them to take a look at it. http://brutus.apache.org/gump/jdk15/logging-log4j-12/logging-log4j-12/gump_work/build_logging-log4j-12_logging-log4j-12.html This is the Log4J 1.2 package ( I haven't checked 1.3 yet), which uses the "enum" variable name that is not compatible in JDK1.5. Is it possible for you guys to; 1. remove this in the 1.2 branch?? 2. check if it is present in the 1.3 development? It would make us very happy if it could be arranged.
