Remko Popma commented on LOG4J2-875:
------------------------------------

Is it possible that during the first rollover at 11:43, the file
{{c:\TEMP\0865bbe1_persis.log}} was empty? In that case it would be deleted,
not renamed, and there would be no .gz file.

We should probably add some more status logging to clarify what is going on
internally...

> A problem with slashes?
> does not work since version 2.0, but in rc1:
> filePattern =
> "C:\Server\Webapps\sql2008-test\WEB-INF/log/$\{ctx:remoteDnsName}/$\{ctx:log.uid}_app-%d\{yyyy-MM-dd}-%i.log"
> works:
> filePattern =
> "C:/Server/Webapps/sql2008-test/WEB-INF/log/$\{ctx:remoteDnsName}/$\{ctx:log.uid}_app-%d\{yyyy-MM-dd}-%i.log"
