Hi, We are using Log4j v1.1.3 on WebSphere Application Server (WAS) v 3.5. We recently changed the config file to reflect MaxFileSize of 20MB (from 10MB) and MaxBackupIndex to 10 logs (from 6). Shortly after we reached our maxiumum # of files, the application stopped logging. There was no indication from the application logs or WAS logs as to the root cause. Does anyone know if there is an absolute maximum that should be used for these two parameters when using the RollingFileAppender?
