Tom,

log4net does build under .NET 2.0, but generates a large number of
warnings. I think that most of these are about deprecated APIs, which we
can't really fix without breaking backward compatibility.

The current version should be forward compatible with the .NET 2.0
runtime I don't foresee any problems moving to VS2005.
