You can find the prototype under the eventAlteringTurboFilters [1] branch on
github. The cost of creating a logging event is about 50 nanoseconds on my
fastest machine and at least 100nanos on slower machines. This extra cost is
incurred only if one or more turbo filters are installed. I am afraid 100 nanos
is too much to impose on all unsuspecting logback users. We'll have to come up
with something better.
