Hey mina,

ive hardly been responding to emails here, because its more like a joke now
rather than anything else! i dnt understand as to why disagreeing is such an
issue that people tend to kill each other on it! Its healthy, it shows a mind
that has its own views!

i know wat u are saying is absolutely right! the baluchistan episode was
disguisting, and our so called minister of information who claims to be half
baluchi said they would take an action im still waitin for her action, the
truth is in sum of these small villages, when their mothers become old and are
of no use, as in they cant cook, or take care of the house and are at that
stage of their lives when they need to depend on their children, this is when
the children think their mother is useless, ill treat her and on several
occassions have raised their hands on them. (this is no bluff , i have been
told this from a head of the baluchi tribe), this is nothing but lack of
education and exposure. Karachi is a safe haven, the way we roam about here you
cant even do quater of a quater percent of it anywhere as soon as u finish the
limits of karachi. Addressing these issues would do no good, because there is a
way these people have lived, a way their mind is set and it would take serious
measures before they realize this is wrong, did u see GEO the woman who's face
was burnt with acid because she refuse to marry some man! what did the
government of punjab do? did u see her face, (watch sajni from Jal, the face of
the monster man) was exactly her condition, if the law officials would have
caught the man and sentenced him treatment in the same way (acid on his face)
every man would think 1000 times before doing such a thing, the same way if the
governement would have buried alive the same men who buried these women, again
before doing such a thing they would think about it 1000 times, they know that
they will get away with it, just like a brat child thinks each time he starts
crying at a shop when he wants sumthing will make him get it.

Peer, baba, mazaars, alot of things are unfolding there, like a woman abducted in
shah ghazi who was with her husband he turned n she was gone n he found her
after 3 days gang raped, for us we know better, why because we are exposed,
alhamdullilah we have been given education,we have studied the religion with
its translation, reading arabic alone is as futile as talking to a deaf man,
our language is urdu, pushto, sindhi, punjabi, quran is now available in urdu and
if these people understand that they are commiting shirk then its possible for
things to take its fold. But because they have no education, as in they wouldnt
knw how to read urdu, let alone write it, they would believe what is taught to
them, and this is a way of control! Just like a child is socialized into
eating, walking, toilet training even what his reactions are to a certain
condition all depend on what he has been taught.

why do u think education in these areas was not given, why do u think that
other provinces are deprived, its cause landlords, nawabs, jagidars, all of them
want normal poor people in their control , which they would loose if education
is given to them, because that would broaden their horizen, so they have not
let the real world reach these people! Thats why i supported Mushrraf because
he was trying to get rid of this culture so education, religion would not be in
the hands of a few people but an option and an open book for other! our people
dnt talk about these issues because they call it a taboo! its not, if you can
see adds on television (touch lay aoo dubai chalay jao) then certainly people
have to take a stand on a few things. We are a nation of 16 Crore, we treat the
damn government like Lords, they are GOVERNMENT SERVANTS who live on our taxes,
and this is ur country not an apartment on rent! Sumthings might never change,
sumthings might just evolve, but for the evelution, there are a few things that
people have to take a stand on and start doing things, Faisal says sumthing
that i agree like the locals should start doing it, at sum places these are
applicable, but on the larger side it isnt, like yesterday when he was talking
to aleem n the doc he said wat were the locals doing! locals lost their lives,
their money, how on earth do u suppose they will build pipe lines, roads,
houses, all this requires cash, books, schools, benches, pencil, chalk, these
REQUIRE cash, they need to be given aid so they can stand on their feet and
then left to take care of the rest, you cant clip a bird's wings n then say ok
now birdie fly! if people from these villages and small towns rebel against the
land lords n owners etc they will be killed, a gurl wants to teach she will be
raped and thrown acid on the face like alot others and these culprits know they
will get away with it! so how do they stand up? their finances are in their
hand, their lives are in their hand, they have no education no nothing, if they
rebel how will they sustain themselves? and who will guide them through? so its
not always possible to stand up, when reprecutions are beyond the handling
reach of a common man, which is not me or u mina, its a man who doesnt even
know how to write his own name, he is a common man, because they are 80% of our
population, karachi is one city! thats it!

From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [ankahi:1222] i
feel helpless.could u please help me?Date: Wed, 8 Oct 2008 18:33:24 +0000

i just wrote this long email which got discarded for some reason.phew!any way..
i watched ur show today; since we keep on talking about infrastructure all the
time, i want you to plz invite to your show those who are responsible for the
collapse of that bridge once.that was one of the earth quakes too.are we
calling for more earth quakes and such tragic calamities when we urge for more
bridges, fly overs and roads? secondly,This is my request to u.please invite
someone to talk about the justice for women of Pakistan.those who were buried
alive in balochistan, those who feel mentally harrassed as they travel by public
transport because the 'public' seem to ill treat them, those who go through a
severe spiritual trauma and suffer at the hands of
sick,disgusting,uneducated,culprit amils,babas and peer sahabs,those who feel
insecured in their own houses because of the domestic torture they have to face
everyday and those who cant find any 'solution' to their problems.. because the
prime problem is that they are *women*.what a pity it is that we keep talking
about aafia siddiqui, send millions of text to each other everyday about how we
should stand up for that honourable lady but we dont even spare a minute for
these women who are suffering ten times that of aafia and all because of Us and
not by few american agents!what a shame it is that we celebrate mothers day and
womens day as if we really give the due respect to the women in our society. i
feel sad and embarrased to say that i am a woman and yet so helpless to do
anything at all for people like myself. since its ankahi,i think u can do
it.thanks.mina.
