My IIsi was doing the same thing. It uses leaf spring contacts under
the MoBo for the speaker and "on" LED. I don't know how the SE/30 is
arranged, but polishing the solder terminals on the board and bending
the leaves up slightly cured my intermittent sound problems. Hardy
