Trust me, sendmail is perfectly capable of doing this, and has driven more sysadmins to strong drink than anything else... That article cites ONE anectdote about mac.com not accepting mail from outside servers, and you leap to the unwarranted conclusion that Apple is closing mac.com in some weird world-domination scheme.. What, Steve is sitting in his office at 1 Infinte, saying "First we'll hook them all with a free e-mail account with a desireable mail address instead of one that sounds like a porn site,( 'You've got hotmail, baybee!'), then when they are ours, we'll cut them off from all of the outside world and they'll be mine, all MINE BWAHAHAHAHAHA!"
