Look, whateverMicheal decides to do, I'm with him, he's not goint to flake out and I think he is right on with his personal schedual, you need to spend some time with him regardless of where his career is leading.  I jsut question, why the army, for god sakes.   But then that's his ass.

Michael will be around when the action starts.

Dana, I'm with you.  My choice is to support your obviously-positive efforts & to make my own choice for a positive effort - that of getting our Platform Cmte. off to a good start to help the Lib cause to improve government, also to support JAL's outreach-center effort.
We will succeed if the Board makes good decisions to make the party work.  But we have no control over others who may primarily seek glory.  Still, we make our own committments.  You, I & John have made ours, & we can continue with ours regardless of what happens in one electoral happening.  I suggest going for our noble goals no matter what others do.

You said this was to Rand & that you did not want to debate it with him. Im sorry but I would like to debate it myself.

I was sleeping soundly one Sunday morning when I got a phone call from you asking me if I was interested in a board position & a new board???? I said yes & I told you I would run.

Now you go off to some meeting in Montrose & next thing I know your no longer interested in a position, that it doesn't pay you money. Like what, you didn't know that....?

You know Mike if you believe in "liberty" then why are you running away? This organization sucks!!  needsto become organized & it is people working together that will get us to that organization.

I know your son means more then LPCO & he should. I don't know if he is joining  the Army by choice or by necessity If it is by necessity please tell him about " job corps".

I know we all need to make money.... I just barely got a job myself; I have been out of work since November.

The LP is the closest your going to get for a third political party unless you have another 30 yrs to create another political party
Mike I dont think you want to wait another yrs do you????

Yes Mike we may fail. WOW we wouldnt be the first. How will you know if you never make a effort towards it ???

I am totally disappointed that you have been so easily discouraged by someone or something that happened over the last couple of weeks, your not a quitter so what the hell what the fuck happened????

You know there are going to be people that will tell you stuff, if you know who to listen to those people will not stray you away from the goal & purpose that has been worked for in the last thirty years. I know that Mike McKenzie is not a quitter & that he wants to see a fair, opportunity for everyone thats so chooses it. Do you know that Jeffery Oliver gets back with me when he can, & Gregg Miller & Paul Tiger, Rand, even you but no one else in this group that I send e-mail to. Do you think my only proposal is a cookbook? It is not; it is over six files deep with more then 6 pages per file. I have a whole restructuring plan and if it is not implemented this organization is not going to last for to many years longer. Dont put me with people I will begin to hate & resent b/c then I will begin to hate & resent the party. We need you Mike youre a part of a different system to work this organization and without the majority vote on the board we will still be stuck in the same system that keeps pissing us all off. Help be a part of our team we wont let you down my friend.

Thats all it is now all up to you, I wont badger you to walk down a different path but let me tell you that path is nothing to be feared and everything to be hoped for. SEMPER FI!! ".

rns 18 this Summer. He'll be joining the Army. Given the current world situation, I may never see him again. Spending time with him is more important to me than the LPCO.

 3) The LP positions are not paying jobs. I need to be earning money. I don't have a lot of volunteer time to donate when my rent is past due.

That's it in a nutshell. Not negotiable. I've been feeling like a draftee this whole time, anyway. Well, I'm not going to be drafted. I'll help out where and when I can, but I'm not interested in any BoD position.

P.S., Do you remember all the talk about the inserts in papers in Park County? I haven't heard back from whoever the hell is in charge of that yet. I sent info, but no word comes back. Typical. mtm
