This doesn't appear to be a pro or a con. It appears to be commentary on the
entire subject. If anything it appears to be a con in its entirety. Could
you please re-read http://www.lpcolorado.org/conv2004/Bylaws-Art8-Sect2.html
and write some that is either pro or con?
I think that you have bias that would allow you to only create a con point
of view, which is fine. -- pt

Article VIII, Section 2 - membership

PROs: If the SOS records are "the last word" in
whether or not someone can vote in primaries, for
example, it is their data we have to use to confirm.
Libertarians may have to work harder at
checking that registrations are right, due to some
hard examples of registrations being "lost" or
recorded incorrectly. I have made the clerk's
office give me my registration number, and initial
it before I walked out, when checking to be sure
the registration was still in place. Libertarians
should be watching their own backs to be sure
the SOS has the correct information.

CONs: If a particular county has bias, or does
not allow Libertarian registration, this disenfranchises
Libertarians there.
